The chamber's of these heads have a nice design, but are rough, un-machined cast iron. Also, the exhaust valve is deep into the chamber and somewhat shrouded.

The entire chamber needs polishing. Mostly I used cartridge rolls.
I also un-shrouded the exhaust valve to almost 3/16". The chamber had room to do this and still comfortably clear the head gasket.
I didn't bother to work around the intake valve. It is only close to the chamber wall were the chamber is very shallow. Almost as soon as the valve is open it is out of the chamber and into the cylinder. When I get these heads back from their valve job and I CC them I may use the intake valve shrouding area as one place to work on equalizing chamber volume.
